Good Friday morning. It’s going to be hot in the old town today so I’m trying to finish outside jobs early. Rocky has gone down to have his fanny pack taken off and won’t have to return until next Wednesday when they want to do an Echo on him to make sure everything is OK with his heart. Just a precautionary procedure since he has had two heart attacks in earlier years. I will go with him for that but today he’s on a quick trip by himself. It’s a fast removal and then he’ll be on his way home.

He is borrowing our neighbor’s trailer so he can load up all the “stuff” he brought over from his farm when we married……..now he wants to get rid of it in a large parking lot sale at our Antique Barn tomorrow. Dealers bring the larger things they can’t sell in the building……. so Rocky is loading up several old lawn mowers and X amount of other things to hopefully get rid of. No one knows it but we’re about ready to pay them to take it off our hands.

We hope all of you have a great weekend doing the things you like or maybe things you “need” to do. I leave one thought with you……hardly a day goes by that Rocky isn’t reading in one of Louis L’Amore’s books. He has drawers full of the paper-back variety and several nice hard cover or leather bound that George and Jennifer have given him for gifts. He reads them over and over and by the time he gets back to the first one…..it’s all new again. Hard to remember all of those stories and keep them separated. This is a quote from Louis L’Amore:

“The best of all things is to learn. Money can be lost or stolen, health and strength may fail, but what you have committed to your mind is yours forever.”

That sounds like the words of one of MY favorite authors…….Solomon. Good stuff.
