WORDS TO LIVE BY......

Not a lot to report on here. We finally have our appointment to see Dr. Eck, the surgeon. We see him at his office a week from today and will have a consultation on the procedure for the port…….then be turned back to Dr. Morgan to begin the chemo. Doctors seem to work on a different time table than the patient. Once you know you have cancer, the thought of something growing in you day by day makes doctor visits seem too few and far between. However, they want Rocky totally healed before they begin anything else.

We keep telling ourselves the doctors know what they’re doing. We also whistle in the dark………. We’re glad we have a God whose eye is never away from our needs.

Meanwhile, we continue to keep positive thoughts and keep busy. Laughter is good. Now that we’re both “home” more we have realized how terrible daytime TV is. It continues to become more vulgar and negative. It’s a shame when it is such a good learning tool for us all. Why can’t sanity take over for once?

In closing, I’d like to leave you with some good words from an anonymous author found in Max Lacado’s Inspirational Study Bible.

Press on.
Nothing in the world
Can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not;
Nothing is more common
Than unsuccessful men
With talent.
Genius will not;
Unrewarded genius
Is almost a proverb.
Education will not
The world is full of
Educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination
Alone are omnipotent.

So whatever “good” you’re working towards today, stay with it!

Hang tough.

Until tomorrow,
Essentially Esther
