Rocky is hooked up and running with the big dogs now. He’s sporting a port on his left upper shoulder/chest area and back home with a prescription of pain killers. He didn’t hurt that much and didn’t think he needed them. Ha!! I’m no surgeon but I’ve always heard you have to keep ahead of the pain…….so we’re ahead of it. He must have had a bad experience “playing doctor” when he was a kid because he sure is wary of medication…..I’m no pill popper myself, but there are times when you need it and times you can choose or not. This is one of those times when you need to.

We have been released once more from Dr. Eck and given back to Dr. Morgan who will get in touch with us as to when he wants to begin the chemo. The sooner the better. So far, Rocky has just been shadow boxing and he’d really like to get into the ring. Hopefully next week he will be getting that call.

Thank you for all of your love and prayers. We’ll keep you posted on his progress. It seems slow getting started but I suppose we’re just anxious to kill this stupid cancer that hooks onto so many of us. For all of you out there who are going through the same trauma or have a friend/family member who is…….we know we aren’t alone in the fight. With all of us banded together, it has to do something. If not for ourselves, maybe for the next ones to come. Walking, running or crawling, we’ve got to make a difference……..we’re all at ground level.
